With sadness I have removed the last entry for Zone6 as of this
writing. All remaining members have been transitioned to Zone3 as
previously determined by Z6 members at large.
A placekeeper nodelist entry has been sent so that should Asia
Fidonet come back, they will still have a home.

Title: Xxcarol's Tartar sauce

Yield: 4 Servings
1/4 c Mayonaise
2 tb Horseradish sauce
3 tb Chopped fine butter pickles
This is a common 'out of something' cookery I do at home. We like
tartar sauce but frequently run out and this mix works for us. The
proportions are general and if you like it hotter, add more
horseradish sauce to taste, or you may want more pickles.
The pickels are standard 'butter pickles' cut to same as you'd use
for a hamburger but it doesnt matter. Just mince to about 1/4 the
volume of the rest of the stuff you are going to add then adjust it
all to your taste. Mix and eat!

Terror alert change

Before anyone starts on the prejudice trail, this was posted on a
forum by someone from the UK.
"In the face of recent terrorist activity you may be comforted to know
:-)
The BRITISH are feeling the pinch in relation to recent terrorist
threats and have raised their security level from "Miffed" to
"Peeved".
Soon, however, security levels may have to be raised again to
"Irritated" or even "A Bit Cross". Londoners have not been "A Bit
Cross" since the Blitz in 1940 when tea supplies all but ran out.
Terrorists have been re-categorised from "Tiresome" to a "Bloody
Nuisance".
The last time the British issued a "Bloody Nuisance" warning level was
during the great fire of London in 1666.
The FRENCH government also announced yesterday that it had raised its
terror alert level from "Run" to "Hide". The only two higher levels in
France are "Surrender" and "Collaborate". This latest rise was
precipitated by a fire that destroyed France's White Flag factory
effectively paralysing the country's military capability.
In addition to the British and the French, ITALY has increased its
alert level from "Shout Loudly and Excitedly" to "Elaborate Military
Posturing". Two more levels remain "Ineffective Combat Operations" and
"Change Sides".
The GERMANS have also increased their alert status from "Disdainful
Arrogance" to "Dress in Uniform and Sing Marching Songs". They too
have two higher levels "Invade a Neighbour" and "Lose".
BELGIANS on the other hand are all on holiday as usual and the only
threat they are worried about is NATO pulling out of Brussels.
Finally the SPANISH are very excited as their new submarines are ready
to deploy. These beautifully designed subs have glass bottoms so that
the new Spanish navy can get a really good look at the old Spanish
navy."

How to Submit an Article
If you wish to submit an article for inclusion in the Fidonews, here
are some guidelines, if you send it as an attached file; the preferred
method if you want reasonable control over how the published article
will appear in the Fidonews:
a) Plain ASCII text. If you could type it on your keyboard, it's
probably quite OK. No line may be longer than 70 characters.
b) Put a title to the article. Put the title in two times. The first
time, on the first line, with an * before it. The second time, on
the second line, without the * and centered. This will help in the
format since the title with the * is removed and used in the index,
the second line will become the headline. On the third line, put
your name and FidoNet address, present or former. If former, you
may want to add some other address where you can be reached for
personal comments.
c) Deadline for article submission is Sunday, 22:00 UTC.
Help the Editor by following the above guides. Below are some subjects
and the file extension for the article as set in the configuration
file for the making of the Fidonews. Please help by putting the file
extension of the correct subject on the file name if known.

If you don't know or are not sure, send the article anyway. Put a .TXT
on it and I'll try to figure out where it should be in the Fidonews.
If you follow these simple guidelines, there should be little problem
in getting your article published. If your submission is too far out
of specs for the Fidonews, it will be returned to you and/or a message
sent informing you of the problem. This DOES NOT mean that your
article is not accepted. It means that there is something in it that I
can not fix and I need your help on it.
